a night in Fargo

Last week Dylan and I celebrated being married for 3 years! Because of the current world state, we weren’t able to celebrate the way we wanted to so we decided to go on a little staycation in Fargo and it was the perfect evening!

We started our evening by checking into the Jasper Hotel and it did not disappoint. This hotel was incredible and aesthetically pleasing in every way. The customer service was wonderful and they even put us on the top floor. There’s an attached bar and restaurant — we didn’t eat here but it did look good — and they have specialty coffee in the morning that is very good (and ya know how I feel about my coffee). This will for sure be a spot I recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Fargo. 10/10 would stay here again.

We continued the evening by heading to dinner at our current favorite spot, Porter Creek. If you’re looking for some seriously amazing food and drinks this is the spot. I always get the same thing — the fire roasted rotisserie chicken with a glass of pinot noir — but Dylan has tried so much off of their menu and nothing’s been a disappointment! His current favorite is their herb crusted hanger steak.

To finish the night we decided to head out for some drinks downtown! If you’re looking for the party scene I recommend the Old Broadway or Fort Noks and if you’re looking to grab a drink and have a conversation you can swing into the Toasted Frog or the hotel bar. These were all within walking distance of our hotel which made it super convenient!

All-in-all it was a great evening and one that could easily be duplicated!
