pre+post-ATV haircare routine

It’s that time of the year again! The weather here in the midwest is perfect for getting out on the four-wheeler, side-by-side, dirtbike, etc. but let’s be real — it takes a toll on our hair. Dust, mud, and dirt + your hair whipping through the wind at high speeds is the perfect combo for build-up and breakage (mechanical damage is real).

PRE-ATV HAIRCARE ROUTINE

Damage prevention and repair start before damage happens. Before we head out for a ride I always make sure my hair is prepped and ready to go by applying the Restore Leave-In Conditioner to my shaft and ends. This hydrates, strengthens, and acts as a sunscreen for my hair. I always leave my hair down for a ride (truthfully because I absolutely hate the way I look with my hair up) but it is better for your hair if it’s in a low, not too tight, bun or braid. This will offer more protection for your hair by helping to prevent it from whipping through the wind. Throw a hat on to help prevent build-up and you’re ready to go!

POST-ATV HAIRCARE ROUTINE

After we’re done riding, I apply the Unknot Detangler and gently brush through my hair with a Wet Brush. Then I apply the Hydration Cocktail (Rejuveniqe Oil, Rejuvabeads, and Restore Leave-In Conditioner) to my scalp and hair. I sleep in that and the next morning I wash my hair with the Damage Repair Line & the Scalp Scrub. The Damage Repair Line helps to repair any damage from the ride and prevent any future damage while the Scalp Scrub helps to remove the dirt, dust, mud, etc. that’s built up on my scalp from the ride.

Your hair doesn’t have to suffer when you have fun! I use this routine every time we ride and it’s been a lifesaver!
