my top 5 favorite Christmas movies

Do you watch Christmas movies every year? It’s a tradition for me and as a type 4 on the Enneagram, it’s no surprise that I love traditions. Watching Christmas movies with friends and family every year is one of my favorites! Here are my top 5 Christmas movies:

Elf

Comedy and Christmas? I’m sold. 100%. I mean have you seen the escalator scene? I’ve been obsessed with this movie since the day it came out. I actually paid to rent it last year when we were at my parent’s house on Christmas Eve because I wanted to watch it and I forgot it at home😂

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

There’s nothing more traditional to watch on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day than Rudolph! I used to watch it on TV every year and now that we don’t have TV and it’s not on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime, I know I need to buy it somewhere so that I can continue watching it.

Holiday in Handcuffs

I honestly don’t know why I love this movie so much but I do. ABC Family (or Freeform now, I guess) sold me on this one. It’s so cute.

The Holiday

Another classic romantic comedy. This movie warms my heart and get’s me in the Christmas Spirit every single time I turn it on.

The Grinch

I mean, is it Christmas if you don’t watch this? I’m torn between the 1966 (I had to Google that 3 times because I couldn’t believe it was that old) animated version and the Jim Carrey version — both are acceptable in my book.

Honorable Mention: Harry Potter (any of them)

Why is this an honorable mention? Because you can watch Harry Potter at any time of the year (rather than just around Christmas) and it’s amazing.
